ABOUT SCOTT LEWIS

Education and Professional Background
Scott Lewis attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He worked in architectural practice for several years, before becoming a Principal with Energy Design Collaborative, Inc., a Scarsdale, NY architectural consulting firm working with fellow professional offices on projects ranging from educational workshops to participating in the design of major projects on university campuses, including Harvard, Syracuse and Lehigh Universities.

More recently, Scott Lewis's design services include preparation of design and construction documents for numerous residential building projects in eastern Massachusetts. Projects include new homes, large and small additions, and renovation projects (see references provided). These design services address a growing demand for relatively small building projects not well matched to the capabilities (and fee structures) of most architectural firms, at a time when municipal building departments are ever more demanding in terms of project documentation prior to issuing building permits.

Real Estate Broker
An expert in residential architecture with experience including hands-on construction work as well as design, and architectural history, Scott Lewis combines a wealth of technical knowledge and skills with a talent for communication to help homeowners through the daunting tasks of buying, selling, or building onto their properties.

Scott Lewis became a Realtor in 1988, and managed as well as sold for ERA Crossroads Real Estate (Chestnut Hill) before purchasing the Company in 1996. He served as Owner-Broker of ERA Crossroads, managing the office while continuing to actively serve clients, until merging with ERA Alliance (later re-named ERA Addison Wellesley) in January 2000, in order to better focus on the needs of customers and clients, while letting others manage the office. For the same reason, he opted to become a fully independent Broker in 2001, spending ever more time on an increasing variety of home design projects for builders and homeowners, in addition to working with buyers and sellers in real estate sales, consistently achieving a "multi-million dollar producer" sales volume.
